Nurscon Plastics – has carved a niche in the flexible packaging market.
Nurscon Plastics run by the Dosani brothers, a second generation of printers, was already a going concern in 1997, primarily engaged in the production of LDPE planting bags for garden centres and nurseries.
The business soon expanded into the production of shrink film.
In 2005 we ventured into printing flexible packaging. By exploring further opportunities in this market it was noted that most premium products in the FMCG industry were gravure printed. This niche presented a business opportunity and a six colour gravure press was purchased, producing LDPE and BOPP mono film conversions. A top-of-the-range Laminator and slitter was added to manufacture multi layer flexible film constructions for the growing customer demand.
The company recently moved their operation into a new, state of the art, 14,500 m2 factory in Longmeadow, Johannesburg.
